Radiation therapy is commonly used in the management of a variety of malignancies. Radiation treatments can have side effects that depend on overall radiation dose, site of radiation, and proximity to organs at risk. Radiation side effects can be acute effects (occurring during or shortly after a course of radiation) or late effect (occurring months to years after radiation). This talk will detail the management of side effects that may occur with courses of thoracic and gynecologic radiotherapy.
