Care of the patient with lung cancer from the time of symptom presentation to the time of starting treatment. Chaely Medley, AGNP-C, will provide a brief overview of the types of lung cancer and broad coverage of types of treatments and symptoms associated with these therapies.

Noelle Robertson, MD, CAQSM presents an evidence-based review of outpatient primary care screening for breast, colon, lung and prostate cancer.

William Wood, MD, MPH will review ways to expand traditional clinic-based cancer navigation to population-based cancer navigation using a central navigation approach. We will discuss how this approach can foster equity in care delivery and outcomes, while incorporating new initiatives that promote quality improvement. We will also talk about how this work fits into the current national environment that surrounds cancer navigation, including the recent development of a learning community and of new proposed billing codes that support the delivery of navigation services.

Sonali Acharya, PharmD. will explain the role of specialty pharmacies. We will discuss accreditation requirements for specialty pharmacies, process to determine which medications are considered specialty and specifically the benefits of a healthcare system specialty pharmacy.
