
GVHD: An Overview of Graft vs Host Disease Post Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant - SPOC
Megan McElfresh, PA-C, will provide an overview of the pathophysiology, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of graft vs host disease post hematopoietic stem cell transplant.
Target Audience
These courses are intended for medical, radiation, and surgical oncologists, hematologists, advanced practice nurses, registered nurses, physician assistants, radiologic technologists, researchers, pharmacists, trainees, allied health personnel, and others who are interested in care for patients and survivors in North Carolina.
Learning Objectives
- Learn the diagnosis of GvHD and distinguish between acute and chronic.
- Learn different ways of preventing GvHD for stem cell transplant patients.
- Learn the different treatments for acute and chronic GvHD.
