Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), including nurse practitioners and physician assistants, play an increasingly vital role in the delivery of comprehensive oncology care. This session will explore the diverse and evolving responsibilities of APPs across the cancer care continuum, including medical, surgical, and radiation oncology settings, as well as their growing role in survivorship and primary care. Participants will gain insight into how APPs contribute to diagnosis, treatment management, patient education, care coordination, and long-term survivorship planning. The session will also highlight the unique position of APPs in bridging oncology and primary care, ensuring continuity of care and addressing the complex needs of cancer survivors.

Non-Credit Course Evaluation and Treatment of Extravasation Injuries from Chemotherapeutic Agents - SPOC Advanced Practice Provider Robyn Tolley, AGPCNP-BC, will identify cytotoxic vesicant and irritant drugs, evaluation of infiltration and extravasation, recommended non-pharmacologic and pharmacologic treatments, and when care should be advanced to involve plastic surgery. She will also include an evaluation of risk factors and appropriate preventive measures to reduce the risk of extravasation. 1.00 Participation	Non-Credit Course Multidisciplinary/Multimodality Management of Locally Recurrent Rectal Cancer - SPOC Research to Practice Jose Gaston Guillem, MD, MPH, MBA, will describe how at UNC Medical Center a team of experts carefully reviews each individual patient during a Weekly GI Tumor Board and collaboratively develop a treatment plan which defines the specific timing and sequence of care for each patient. 1.00 Participation	Non-Credit Course Oncologic Emergencies, A Deeper Dive: Neutropenic Fever, Tumor Lysis Syndrome, and Cord Compression - SPOC Advanced Practice Provider Taking a deeper dive into the most common oncologic emergencies facing oncology patients. Allard, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, AGAC-NP (student), will review basic gastrointestinal tract anatomy and discuss gastrointestinal cancer(s), workup, and treatment. She will differentiate between each disease type specifically with signs/symptoms, statistics, and management, and help attendees to recognize common side effects of treatment and management of symptoms. 1.00 Participation	Non-Credit Course Integrating Germline Pharmacogenomic Testing into Oncology Care - SPOC Advanced Practice Provider Patients undergoing treatment for cancer utilize many medications that have relevant drug-gene interactions.
