Next Generation Cancer Care Navigation
William Wood, MD, MPH will review ways to expand traditional clinic-based cancer navigation to population-based cancer navigation using a central navigation approach. We will discuss how this approach can foster equity in care delivery and outcomes, while incorporating new initiatives that promote quality improvement. We will also talk about how this work fits into the current national environment that surrounds cancer navigation, including the recent development of a learning community and of new proposed billing codes that support the delivery of navigation services.

Integrating Germline Pharmacogenomic Testing into Oncology Care
Patients undergoing treatment for cancer utilize many medications that have relevant drug-gene interactions. The use of pharmacogenomic testing can assist with drug selection, drug dosing, and the development of personalized medication monitoring plans. Amber Cipriani, PharmD, BCOP, will describe some common examples of drug-gene interactions relevant to oncology. She will also discuss current efforts to expand the use of pharmacogenomic testing into current clinical practice.
