This seminar will review the causes, risk factors, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, and possible treatment options for medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaws as it relates to cancer patients. It will also include strategies to decrease the risk of developing this debilitating condition.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe the risk factors for MRONJ
  • Review the different clinical presentations of MRONJ
  • Discuss management strategies for patients with MRONJ
  • List preventive measures to decrease the risk of MRONJ in at-risk patients
