This year, nearly 85,000 adolescents and young adults (AYAs; ages 15-39) will receive a cancer diagnosis. This patient population faces unique challenges distinct from pediatric and older adult patients, including considerations around reproductive health. This talk will explore the issues of fertility preservation, contraception and sexual health among AYAs with cancer.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the gold standards for fertility preservation in AVA in male and female patients
  • Discuss two contraceptive considerations for AYAs with cancer
  • Describe three potential effects of cancer treatment on sexual health

Learning Outcomes

  • 80% of participants will achieve a score of 80% or higher on a post-test covering the webinar content.
