Cancer Care for All: Challenges and Opportunities in Low-Resource Settings - SPOC

Course Information

Course Description

Cancer presents a significant global health challenge, with most new cases and deaths occurring in low- and middle-income countries. Although progress has been made in prevention, early detection, and treatment, individuals in resource-constrained environments frequently encounter obstacles to timely and effective care. This webinar will examine the distinct challenges associated with providing equitable cancer services in contexts characterized by strained health systems, limited infrastructure, and scarce resources. The speaker will discuss opportunities for innovation and collaboration, highlighting low-cost technological solutions, task-shifting approaches, and international partnerships that are advancing oncology in underserved regions.
