Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer death in the United States and North Carolina, accounting for more deaths than the next three most common cancers combined. This high burden of mortality and concomitant morbidity make the early detection, diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer all the more important. Jason Akulian, MD, MPH, MBA will present an update on the early detection, diagnosis and management of lung cancer at UNC.
