Pesticide Protective Behavior in Agriculture: A Cancer Prevention Strategy

Dr. Walton will begin her presentation with background information on the side effects of working with pesticides, as well as the regulatory requirements for pesticide protective behaviors (8 mins). She will then discuss a specific study regarding observed and reported behaviors of Latino workers regarding these behaviors (15 mins). Dr. Walton will also discuss perceived barriers to pesticide protective behaviors and offer strategies to improve adherence (12 mins), as well as review future projects related to the findings of this study (5 mins), lessons learned from working with Latino patients (5 mins), and the importance of accurate clinical documentation of occupational exposures (5 mins).
