Caring for Patients with Genitourinary Cancers – SPOC

An overview of genitourinary oncology, including a discussion of prostate, bladder, kidney, and testis cancers and associated oncology-related professions, as well as a discussion of the needs specific to genitourinary oncology patients.

Target Audience

These courses are designed for students enrolled in health sciences programs and the community colleges across the state of North Carolina.

Learning Objectives

Identify the different types of cancer and cancer professionals in a genitourinary oncology clinic

Discuss different modalities of treatment for genitourinary malignancies, and the care structures and professionals needed to deliver each type of treatment

Identify management issues specific to genitourinary oncology and how a multidisciplinary team is used to deliver optimal management of these issues
