Ostomies, Tubes, and Drains

Ostomies, tubes, and drains are often necessary in the adult oncology population for various reasons and clinical scenarios. This presentation will serve as an overview of the different types of ostomies, as well as frequently used tubes and drains, such that APPs across all oncology disciplines will be familiar with their necessity, use, and common complications.

Webinar Objectives:

  • Describe the key differences between an ileostomy and colostomy, and implications for management
  • Discuss differences in G-tubes and J-tubes, and implications for management
  • Discuss impact of ostomies, drains and tubes on the oncology patient
