Clarissa Urban, PA-C, will cover the basics of clinical trials for an APP. She will highlight the different phases of trials, the clinical trial team, and documents pertaining to trials. In addition, she will focus on phase 1 clinical trials along with diversity in trial participation.

Learning Objectives

  • Define clinical trials and the various phases of clinical trials.
  • Describe the different documents and resources used to conduct clinical trials.
  • Discuss ways to improve participant diversity in trials in the future.

UNC Health is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the North Carolina Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Criteria for successful completion to claim CE Certificate requires attendance at the NCPD activity, and submission of an evaluation within 7 days.
