Purpose

As part of the community outreach of the Carolina Breast Cancer Study (CBCS) and its family of breast cancer studies in public health, population health, and molecular and cancer biology, we host a regular webinar (3-4 times per annum) geared first and foremost to the communities collected in and around the four phases of CBCS, breast cancer advocates and survivors in North Carolina (and beyond), and interested students and researchers.

We host 1-hr talks with Q&As with leading researchers, breast cancer healthcare providers, advocates, and graduate students and post-doctoral fellows to share their insight and experiences.

The aims are to publicize the public health and medical benefits of CBCS research, provide breast cancer survivors with up-to-the-date information as they navigate their care, and foster a community.

We also use these videos and clips of them on the study website (unclineberger.org/cbcs) and on social media platforms.
